Pressprosites is a Atlanta based web development company. The cool thing about be a creative person as I get to work with some very creative people. Building a brand for a business isn’t easy, but when working with Graphic Artist’s, or Social Media Managers, it can actually be quite fun.
Our latest project involves a Emergency Care Clinic. There site needed a face lift….badly. They hired us to give them a fresh new look and make people feel safe and secure about finding a “Emergency Care” facility in their local neighborhood.
It’s a good feeling to help local businesses out and give them a positive web presence and in return, have visitors get the same feeling when visiting a PressProSite Development project.
Atlanta Web Development isn’t easy, lots of competition out there that charge much less than the industry standards. My advice to companies looking for a cheap and easy way to develop their brand…stay away from those companies. A good Web Developer won’t come down in price.
Hub Atlanta is a place where change makers can come together, share ideas and create products and services that serve the community as a whole. It’s even been said that the Hub is the place that Change goes to work.
The Hub is the nexus point of entrepreneurship, funding, and mission. It is a place where non-profit and for-profit social change ideas build and scale into viable enterprises that address the complex problems we face, from poverty to climate change, for people and planet. Change agents find the support they need at the Hub to reach their goals faster, surrounded by a community that makes everyone smarter and more effective. From seed funding to professional services, from mentors to peers who understand what they are doing, the Hub is the platform that helps you make it happen. It’s where change goes to work.
Being an Entrepreneur myself, I understand how crucial it is to have that support in a community type environment. The Hub Atlanta is a place to get that support. To often good ideas don’t get implemented because the “Idea Person” doesn’t know what to do next after the brilliant idea. Ideas are great, but action on your idea is better. Check out the Hub Atlanta and put your ideas into action….with some help.
One of the cool things about living in Midtown Atlatna is during Spring there are a neighborhood Festivals almost every weekend. This weekend is Dogwood Festival in Piedmont Park. Next weekend in the Inman Park Festival. All really close to my place. In fact, this is the weekend it’s probably better to leave my car in the driveway and just walk everywhere.
Atlanta is known for it’s festivals. Starting almost 40 years ago, Atlanta has more festivals in the Spring and Summer than another City in the US.
Inman Park Festival
Should be a very fun next few weekends.
Living in Atlanta has some great advantages when it comes to doing business. As with most cities it really does help when you have a well built network that can help drive business towards you. However being new to the Atlanta Metro Area, there is still much work to be done building that network.
As a Web Developer starting a new business in Atlanta you have grab as much business as you can. However, my recommendation for businesses starting out or revamping there web site is to have a strategy, and a budget that doesn’t include the word “cheap”.
I Just read an article on How Much Does a Web Site Cost
I love living in Midtown Atlanta. You’ve got Piedmont Park, Apre Diem, Midtown Arts Cinema, and the occasional Police run down. What?
A few months ago I heard what sounded like a terrible accident right in front of my Midtown Atlanta house. However, it wasn’t your typical car accident. Some guy crashed a stolen car right into my neighbor’s front yard. Thank god nobody was hurt. But the guy got out and ran behind houses with only one Police Man chasing.
Well, I guess the Video tells the story better.
Scott William Janz – Peoria, IL was named Local Hero of the Week by WEEK TV News in Peoria. Janz stepped in when the Peoria Public Library ran out of funding for their new high speed Internet Connectivity. Peoria Public Library’s grant funding was not renewed for the fiscal year of 2001 and Heart Electronics pulled their dedicated line from the project. Janz heard about the pull out and contacted Susan Herring the Director of the PPL. Janz stepped in to find the Peoria Public Library new funding from Illionis’s E-Grant Funding The Illinois Grant program offers funding to Municipalites that fall under the Illinois School Lunch Program. The Peoria Pulbic Library qualified and was able to pay for a High Speed Internet Connectivity that was even faster than the previous connection.
I believe the Peoria community at whole deserves Internet in their local Library as the Library is a community resource for everyone.
Janz’s Company Solution Services, (now A5 Communications) was able to connect a 1.4 Mbs to the entire Peoria Public Library System.
I created Social Newbies Atlanta to give small to medium size business owners a valuable resource in getting questions they have regarding social media. Let’s face it, it’s not about how many “likes” you have on Facebook, but how much of those “Likes” are turning into sales! At first, it was a daunting task to run around trying to put on workshops, after workshops and find an audience (who by the way hasn’t been saturated by “experts”) and give a good tutorial on how to convert sales leads using social networking.
Creating a one stop resource for people to come ask a question and BOOM!!!!! Get an answer. Wow! That’s crazy talk. Not really, how much are you paying a “expert”? Really? So I pondered the thought, what if I took myself out of the game? Competed against myself. Yes, fired me. www.socialnewbies.com is a website that has put together social media experts who will answer your question about ANYTHING social media. Not only do we have a large, I mean huge database of questions, but we save you boooku dollars by bringing everyone to one place.
After moving to Atlanta from Chicago, I decided to create a different kind of Web Development Company. Web Dev Companies, Developers, Programmers, etc are all over the net. How can you miss them right? So what could I do different then what everybody else was doing. So, I decided to teach how small business can finally take ownership of their own destiny.
Pressprosites at best, is a WordPress Company that teaches YOU how to engage the content of your own site. Small Business Owners don’t have time to sit around and design, and implement their online strategy, too busy trying to keep the business going. So I decided to not only build custom wordpress sites, but teach the owners how to manage it, long after the site is up and running.
Most site designers (and more importantly) developers, are long gone after the site is up and running. “On to the next client”. The problem: Now you have to pay to fix or add, or edit, or upgrade the site you’ve already paid for. DIY!!!! We teach you how to take command over your site, save some $$$ and not sit by the phone waiting for the “Web Guy” or “Gal” to call you back.
