Gutting the Bar
October 8th, 2008
You have seen the pictures, you have heard about the parties. But alas, no more. I have gutted the bar downstairs to its studs. All the signatures on the wall are gone, the bar ripped apart, the bar couch, glasses, and facny lights now lie in its final resting place…the dumpster. Even the glued carpet on the concrete floor which was a bitch to get up as I cursed the idiot who used some sort of super glue…is ripped up. That now will be a exercise room. I think. Maybe.
This week starts what will be a long rehab project at my house. Because of a water leak, I’ve had some major repairs to do. Including ripping down plaster, and replacing some plywood on the side of my house. This starts the beginning of either selling this property or leasing it.
So if you see me walking down the street covered in plaster, cursing the very path I walk. Keep in mind things generally don’t go anything like the way you plan. I hope the nice people at Lowes will have pateince, and the automatic checkout machines WORK.

By “exercise room” do you mean your Wii Fit game room? Cause I heard you can get a good workout on those things, a much better investment then lets say a Boflex which is just German for fancy coat rack…just a thought : )

“Keep in mind things generally don’t go anything like the way you plan”? Have they ever? I think you should look at this as an adventure; a new beginning if you will. Oh, and the mishaps? Let’s consider those happy accidents, an opportunity for growth!? One more thing, the automatic checkout “machines” (computers) DO work. I’m thinking operator error….?
