Watermelon and Cheap Trick
July 3rd, 2008
So what does one do on a 4th of July Weekend? Well, two events that I am going to participate in. One is a story that is in the Journal Star about the effects of Watermellon this season.
A slice of cool, fresh watermelon is a juicy way to top off a Fourth of July cookout and one that researchers say has effects similar to Viagra — but don’t necessarily expect it to keep the fireworks all night long.
Watermelons contain an ingredient called citrulline that can trigger production of a compound that helps relax the body’s blood vessels, similar to what happens when a man takes Viagra, said scientists in Texas, one of the nation’s top producers of the seedless variety

Mmmm? Watermelon is a tasty treat on any 4th of July Holiday. I wonder how hard it is to grow Watermelons?
Oh, and then after gorging myself on Watermelon, I shall then attend the Cheap Trick concert tonight at the Riverfront. It just seems to make sense that I go. “I want you to want me” seems to be an appropriate song after eating a pound or two of Watermelon.
