Tuesday Tidbits

June 17th, 2008

Let me start out by saying how nice it is outside and how much I don’t want to work today.

Mom celebrated her 72 birthday yesterday. I cooked out on the grill, and had some friends over. We sung happy birthday and watched Mom fall asleep in the chair. I took her to the Riverboat so she could gamble a few dollars. She won, I lost. And what’s up with a 25 cent machine that cost’s $18.00 dollars a pull? That broke a record for the fastest $20.00 bucks I have ever lost on a slot machine. Mom played video poker. It amazes me that Mom know’s how to play video poker, but get’s confused as to what day it is, and where the bathroom in our house is.

Question: Why do people wait in line an hour and a half to eat breakfast at the Cracker Barrel? Why? It’s not like the food is spectacularly awesome. It’s gotta be the rocking chairs in front. An hour in a half though, geez. America needs to be more productive. Away with Cracker Barrels.

Do you think it’s bad that I want to cause bodily harm to my nieghbor who is letting Junction City dump clay in the back of my/his ravine? Doesn’t somebody need a permit or something to dump in ravines in Peoria? I feel a video blog coming on. More to come.

I think Comcast is caches web sites. I have noticed that sites like Yahoo, and others, are sometimes a day old. I have to delete my “temp web pages”, and then refresh to get an updated page. Bad, bad, Comcast. Billy Dennis? Have you experienced this? Any other techie?

Congrats to all the parents, including Viva La Vespa for explaining to Dist. 150 that making crucial decisions about childrens well being is a “Community” process and NOT thiers alone. The big argument should be now: Cut school hours = lower property tax.

Oh well, not much else to blog about, so I’ll end with saying poop.
