Birds Not Paying Rent
March 18th, 2008
As I write this, I have birds living in my wall cavity between my office and the outside of my house. This is a conspiracy of epic porportions. The co-conspirator (wood pecker), who very cleverly has burled a very small hole in the oustide of my home, has made available a place to crash for birds who have now taken residence. I can hear them every morning scratch, pecking, oh, and singing.
This is a direct violation of my right to blog in a quite place. They have not signed any kind of a lease, and I have started eviction preceedings against them. Of course for a small monthly fee, they could stay. I have a feeling however, they have no ability to pay. I don’t like worms and have no use for them. Because Illinois State Law requires me to give them a 5 Day Notice, I have sent them a letter stating two words….WOOD PUTTY.
