Scott’s Blog Experience

Does anybody even read this blog anymore? In the past 2 years this site has been primarily a way for me to express my thoughts about a wide variety of subjects. Sometimes it hasn’t been about my thoughts at all, just a way to be my sarcastic self, writing about web sites, or putting up riduculous news stories. However lately, it just doesn’t feel fun anymore. I use to think up pithy ways to get my thoughts across, or would spend hours on the web looking for new ways to entertain my 3 readers. Or basically just bitch! (Two Words: Code Enforcement)

Every morning I would wake up and start my day checking out other blogs. Peoriapundits blog, ( have a bet with myself as to whether or not Billy has changed his theme again), Peoria Chronical, Scott Obrien, Peoria Illinioisan, all great blogs. I guess in the last few months I have noticed a change in the local blogosphere. Not in a bad way, just a change, a little on the clickish side maybe. Or maybe it’s all the Politics of my blog that has made me a target of some People in town which has made me sorry I ever put my name on it. I can’t really put a finger on it, I’ve just lost the desire to blog. I’m also going through some personal crap that has made it hard to get the will up and write cheery fun loving posts, when all I really want to write is one big AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (scream)

I want to thank all the people that have ever took time out of thier day to read my post’s. Actually, I take it as honor that I had anything to say that you wanted to read…and you kept coming back. I have met some awesome people because of this blog. I also wanted to thank all the commentors. Only a few times did I ever have to delete someone’s comment. 98% of all the comments were always respectful.

Some benchmarks: The biggest benchmark for me was introducing myself at some social event, and got “Your the Scott Janz that blogs”? It always floored me when I heard that. When they didn’t like what I posted I said “No my name is Scott O’Brien”, not that damn Scott Janz”. LOL

Giving Peoria.com the idea of “Blogging around town”. Hope it has paid off.
Getting involved with HOI News and sharing ideas how to get other blogs involved.

It has all been great. The largest number of hits in one day was over 2000. The most popular post was the Boat Accident post.

Maybe not goodbye all together. Who knows what new blog might spring up next with my political genius behind it. Ok, maybe not that, more like my dumbass something or other. See ya around town.
