Texas Hold’m Obsession

April 18th, 2007

In the few minutes of spare time I have each day (when I’m not posting on the blog), or (reading everyone elses blog), I enjoy a good game of Texas Hold’m. Since I bought my Play Station II last year, I have mostly played the first version of Texas Hold’m. You can dress in your own style (Retro for me, I know shocking) and you can pick different exotic places in the world to play at. It was pretty cool. That was until a few weeks ago when I recieved the new and improved version of the Texas Hold’m game for my Birthday. This game won’t let you do shit until you win a table. Yea, you can still dress retro, however, this game has gone to a whole new level. I feel like I’m at the automatic check out at Wal-mart. You’ve seen me there. I’m the guy with a dumbfounded look on his face, cause the damn bar code thingy isn’t working. Same look with this game.

The last version I could actually win the table. This version I can’t get past 16th place at the Amature Level. What the Hec? I am now obessed with getting past 16th. Good thing this is a game and not real. The game starts you out with a bankroll of $3,500 and it subtracts each time you “buy” into a game. Each buy in is about $750.00. I have lost all my buy in money and now owe the game $15,000 dollars. I’m waiting for Activision to come and reposes my car or something. AND, Jennifer Tilly is kicking my ass.
