Prince Charles Calls for Ban on McDonald’s Restaurants and Big Macs

The Prince of Wales told a nutritionist in Abu Dhabi Tuesday that the “key” to people eating healthily was to ban McDonald’s fast food restaurants.
Prince Charles was attending the launch of a public health awareness campaign aimed at fighting diabetes in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Guess he had forgotton his kids love McDonalds.
“This appears to be an off-the-cuff remark, in our opinion. It does not reflect our menu or where we are as a business.”
In August 2005 Prince Harry popped into a McDonald’s for a “buy one get one free” meal. He is reported to have bought two chicken burgers and a strawberry milkshake, eating the meal on the pavement outside.
And in January 1992, when Prince William was nine, he was pictured with his mother queuing up for a burger at McDonald’s
My Thoughts: Mr. Charles, we all know Micky D’s is bad for us. We all know Big Macs are full of fat and calories. But we Americans say this: We don’t CARE. You don’t get it because you have never been drunk at 2:00 AM and are hankering for a Quarter Pounder w/Cheese. You have never had the “munchies”. It’s a well known American tradition to wait in line for ever only to finally get up to the speaker and say “What? Did you get that? Can you hear me”? Plus, isn’t it the American No, the Worlds right to be fat, and out of shape?
