Higher Cost VS. Higher Cost

October 30th, 2006

Does anybody know why Democrats or even Independents are not screaming about the enormous rising cost of education? Or the profits the Universities are making? Especially during such an important election year.

If the country is hit with another recession, the results could be devastating for college students from low-income families. That’s one of the findings in a study from Illinois State University. (shhh, I hear nothing from Hillary, or Ted Kennedy)

For example: Public four-year colleges cost 42% of the average family’s paycheck, up from 28% in the early 1990s. In New Jersey, costs have risen from 24% to 37%, and in Oregon from 25% to 36%.

My point is this: Most Dems complain about how “Big Oil” companies are rapping the American Public by price gouging. But with an election so important, you would think voters would be concerned with the rapping of the American Student. Where is Hillary on this issue? Ummm Mr Obama? What’s your position for fighting for lower tuition cost?

The fact is nobody is asking right now. The Left is so geared up on sexual scandals and taking power, none of them are taking a stand on education.

The Republicans have actually increased educational funding more in the last 8 years than any Congress before them.

But ask one Dem about the price of Gas…Holly shit do they have an answer for you. It’s all Bush’s fault, those damn Republicans. They are all oil mungrals.

I’ll dare anyone to compare the percentage of increase on a gallon of gas to a 4 year degree at U of I. in the last 20 years.
