A Police Pattern

April 28th, 2006

Let’s see if you can get the pattern here?

Robbin T. Underwood, 48, of Marquette Heights died March 16, a day after someone fired upon her and her niece while they sat inside Underwood’s pickup truck in the 1300 block of Ellis Street. No arrests have been made.

Carl L. Wells Jr. 25, of 1533 S. Westmoreland Ave. was shot March 11 while walking to his car from the 900 block of Third Street, on his way to meet his girlfriend at a nightclub. He died the next day. No arrests have been made.

Jer-rel Hall, 26, of 111 Village Green Court was stabbed to death Feb. 21 inside a Northeast Madison Avenue apartment where people allegedly were doing drugs. A Peoria-area father and son were arrested in the death but the state’s attorney’s office never charged either of them, saying the stabbing occurred in self-defense. No arrests were made.

And now this week:

Cordaral M. Wright, 316 E. Thrush Ave., was pronounced dead at 2:45 p.m. at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was shot in the head about 2:35 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of West Arcadia Avenue, not far from the McDonald’s restaurant on Knoxville Avenue.

Witnesses told police that Wright and someone in a car exchanged several rounds of gunfire. No arrests have been made in the case.
