Fox News covers Mountain Lion

Generally I don’t have a problem with 24 hour news coverage on cable. Fox, MSNBC, CNN, they are all trying for market share and realize people are tunning in minute by minute. So the thought of them repeating the same news story over and over is not all out of the general philosophy of what they do.
However, for the love of god, Fox News is covering a Mountain Lion who has come down from the San Diago Mountains do take occupancy in someones front lawn in Altadena CA. Yea, over, and over, they are repeating this story…with Hellecopter coverage! Sheesh! Why? Are there not better, more important stories to speculate with mindless chatter over and over on? We can’t see the Mountain Lion, it has no revelance that affects the nation. I can’t stand it…
However, I continue to watch.
UPDATE: They are reporting now that “Mountain Lions have been reported to go right for the throat if prevoked“. Ok, now I know why they are covering it. Gotta love LIVE T.V!
Maybe there is a part of me that is waiting for the Mountain Lion to pounce on someone. I don’t know.
UPDATE: President Bush announces “The Mountain Lion is not a threat to National Security, and will have Port access“.
I pledge to cable news..stop covering these live high speed car chases, robberies, huricanes, and Mountain Lion stories. I have things I have to do….
